1st Step are currently working with a National Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are recruiting for a Electrical Estimator to join their established team in Northampton. With a healthy pipeline of projects this is a great opportunity to join a strong commercial division.

Our client is ideally looking for someone that has gained a minimum of 3 years' experience within an electrical estimating capacity and has experience of working on residential projects.

Responsibilities:
- Complete take-offs from drawings/information provided.
- Full document control on each tender.
- Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers to gain competitive quotations.
- Value Engineering and/or partial design works on tenders.
- Input take offs into estimating software and model/finalise quotation.
- Report to senior estimators and/or Directors including full adjudications of each tender.
- Produce quantified schedule of rates.

Person Specification:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within an electrical estimating capacity.
- Knowledge of estimation software.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office software.
- Confident in pricing projects from £6M - £25M with proven track records.
- Able to work alongside the other Electrical and/or Mechanical Estimators as well as independently within a busy estimating projects department.
