About the Role

1st Step Solutions are supporting a building services engineering company who have an opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor based in East London.

Our client delivers Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing solutions across commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day electrical installation activities on site
* Manage and coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and current regulations (e.g. BS 7671)
* Monitor progress against programme and report to Project Manager
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance
* Enforce health & safety procedures and carry out toolbox talks
* Liaise with other trades to ensure smooth coordination on site
* Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Assist with procurement and material management
* Maintain site records including progress reports, inspections, and test results
* Support commissioning and handover processes

Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on residential projects
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices
* Familiarity with UK electrical standards and regulations (BS 7671)
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* ECS/CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities

Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Experience working on multi-unit residential developments
* First Aid at Work certification
