About the Role

M&E Project Manager
West London

1st Step Solutions are working on behalf of an Engineering Services Contractor on the requirement of an M&E Project Project to join their London team.

You will be overseeing multiple projects within the London Borough valued between £1-£5million. You will have good knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering with previous retail project experience.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to lead successful projects and working within a retail environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and proven ability orchestrating and evaluating the design and installation process with the various stakeholders and end user clients.
- Within a team, be able to assist and prepare conceptual and detailed project documentation.
- Tender work and issue scope documentation for M&E project tenders.
- Be customer facing with good verbal and written communications.
- Maintain a strong Health & Safety culture with an assertive and proactive ability to ensure compliance with compliant and project procedures.
- Display excellent organisational skills and an ability to priorities own works as well as support others.
- Manage operatives for packages works inclusive of all relevant sub-contractors that are employed as specialists.
- Work to a detailed programme of works embracing all stages of the construction processes to deliver the project on time and in line with contractual obligations.
- Ensure successful implementation and completion and demonstrations of the project commissioning and handover procedures together with its associated documentation and achieve total customer satisfaction.
- Possesses good knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards, and design criteria pertinent to the design, engineering and construction of power, utilities, and infrastructure sector.
- Liaise with Technical Managers to ensure design and install works comply with client design/engineering management and quality management system procedures.
- Development of scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.

Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical building services.
- HNC/HND in building services is advantageous.
- Ability to develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.
- Experience in all aspect of LV / HV power and lighting.
- Experience in all aspect of HVAC, Domestic and Drainage.
- Be able to read drawings, schematics, and schedules.
- Understand the RIBA plan of works and BSRIA BG6.
