Shauna Hughes

Shauna joined 1st Step Solutions in the summer of 2024, bringing with her a couple of years’ experience within the construction industry and a desire to focus more specifically on recruitment.

Since joining 1st Step, Shauna has embraced every opportunity to develop her knowledge and experience across the Construction and Mechanical & Electrical sectors. Her hard work, commitment and natural ability to build genuine relationships with both candidates and clients have seen her progress within the business, and she has recently been promoted to Consultant – Construction & Building Services.

In her role, Shauna works across a wide variety of Construction and M&E vacancies, although she has developed a particular liking for Duct fitter roles. She takes great pride in building strong relationships with her candidates, ensuring they receive the time, attention and support they need throughout the recruitment process.

A key part of Shauna’s progression has been her development on the client side of the business. She has built fantastic relationships with both new and existing clients, taking the time to understand their businesses, projects and recruitment requirements and working closely with them to identify how 1st Step Solutions can best support their needs.

Shauna’s promotion recognises the hard work she has put in since joining the business, as well as the trust and relationships she has established with her clients and candidates. We’re excited to see her continue to develop in her new role and take the next step in her career with 1st Step Solutions.

Away from work, Shauna enjoys going to the gym, socialising with friends, spending time with her family and, whenever she gets the chance, booking a weekend getaway.
