1st Step Solutions are currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper.
Must have experience working in construction industry with CIS knowledge and proven track using Eque2, Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll is essential.
The role is required for 5 months Maternity Cover with potential to a become a permanent position. Reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.
* Preparing payment runs
* Managing receivables and payable ledgers
* Completion of supplier reconciliations, treasury management, liaison with banks
* CIS monthly reconciliation and returns
* VAT quarterly reconciliation and returns
* Preparing Weekly and Monthly payrolls
* Maintaining supplier details
* Credit control
* Bank reconciliation
* Answering queries
* Assisting Accounts Manager with ad hoc duties
The skills/experience required of the Accounts Assistant must include:
* CIS and construction industry knowledge essential
* At least 1-year experience using Sage 50 Accounts
* Knowledge of Eque2 beneficial
* Have relative experience within Billing and Credit Control
* Ability to work under pressure, organise priorities and meet targets
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong organisation skills
* Good MS Office skills
* Great attention to detail
* Accounting qualification (AAT) or qualified by experience will be considered
Position is based in Chelsea with potential of working remotely.
