MEP Construction Superintendent
Mount Vernon, NY

Responsibilities

Review the scopes, performance and may assist in buyout and award of subcontractors of HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler and Electrical related trades on assigned projects.
The MEP Field Specialist's expertise and responsibilities must encompass plumbing, sprinkler, and HVAC.
Providing assistance to the project team in terms of the shop drawing review
Submittals and coordination of drawings
Inspection of work for conformance to documents & for quality assurance, including trouble shooting and preparing of MEP punch list
Assisting with mechanical closeouts and warranties on projects; mitigation and resolution of MEP clams and disputes during project;
Construction Scheduling: Monthly schedule revisions and reviewing at the jobsite to identify potential issues with MEP trades and planned completion dates
Providing a project specific M.E.P. Inspection report, after each inspection
Preparing Schedule of Values; Periodic Requisition for Partial Payment
Inspection: Reviewing design drawings, suggesting areas of concern re: ambiguity, function, etc. Provide RFI's as appropriate; inspection of all work of the MEP subcontractors and any additional service providers for compliance
Claims and Disputes: administer the construction contract fairly and in accordance with the contract terms and conditions
Qualifications

BS in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and/or 5+ years of supervisory construction related experience specializing in the management and troubleshooting of MEP trades
Ability to read drawings a must
Comfortable with technology
