Our client is a growing M&E Contractor based in South Yorkshire with project coverage across Yorkshire and the Midlands. Working from the Head Office and Field based.

They are looking to appoint a Electrical Compliance Manager to support all commercial functions as the business grows. The position will be working closely with Project Managers and the Company Directors. There will be opportunity for you to progress within the company and develop your own skills and knowledge.

Job Role:
* The Electrical Compliance Manager will be responsible for certification, auditing, and quality control across all areas of our electrical and data business. In addition, you will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring safe working processes, in conjunction with our existing HSQE team.
* You will be required to work under the guidance and direction of the Operations Manager to develop and implement Safe Systems of Work, and to work with the existing HSQE to ensure safe working practices are followed, providing support and training to installation teams.
* To work with the company's management teams, administrators and engineering teams.
* To liaise with external bodies - (such as NICEIC representatives or other registration bodies) as and when required.
* To ensure that the business complies with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation or other registration bodies and to communicate those requirements to the Contract Management Team and Engineering Teams.
* To provide any technical support as required and have contact with customers across the contract portfolio in relation to our NICEIC accreditation.

Responsibilities:
* To develop and encourage Safe Systems of Work across all aspects of the business, providing guidance and training to our site-based teams.
* To advise engineers and the management team on any technical/electrical matters; typically, NICEIC requirements on projects, planned maintenance and reactive jobs.
* Inspect Electrical installations carried out by the business to ensure full compliance with the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 and that of the NICEIC requirements and standards.
* Inspect Electrical certification issued by engineers within the business and that of other sub-contractors to ensure full compliance with NICEIC requirements and standards.
* To provide technical support and assistance in all aspects of Electrical Work.
* To carry out post audits of other engineer's electrical work, both directs, and subcontractor partners as required as required.
* To actively monitor compliance in relation to engineer's electrical test equipment.
* To carry out your duties and responsibilities as appointed person for the Company NICEIC accreditation.
* Submit detailed written reports on compliance status and actions required and ensure any changes in legislation are relayed to senior management.
* Assist in assessment of engineer's qualification/competences for potential or existing staff.
* Develop toolbox talks in relation to Electrical Works / Certification.
* Help develop bespoke training modules that may be used to assist in the training of engineers and that can be delivered across the business.
* Provide a monthly report for the Department Manager.
* Maintaining a high level of Health and Safety.
* Pursue excellence in all aspects of business.
* Develop relevant personal skills and capability through planning and attending training course, subject to Business approval.
* Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the company.
* Develop and maintain systems to established standards relating to all operational activities.

Skills:

* Have an electrical background, either as time served electrician, or from an Electrical Engineering background.
* Up to date with current regulations, including 18th Edition Amendment 2 and EV charging requirements.
* PC Literate with Microsoft office software packages.
* Extensive experience in both Commercial and Industrial environments.
* Ideally, previous NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience within the last 2 years
* Full British driving license.
* Have a solid understanding of Safe Systems of Work, electrical compliance and electrical Health and Safety.
* Have a good understanding of the technical aspects the role.
* Be able to produce RAMS and Scopes of Works.
* Be able to deal with clients in a confident manner.
* Previous retail and fit out experience advantageous.
