Electrical Project Manager / Contracts Manager permanent position in Exeter

Seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients in-house design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost-effective and technically robust mechanical design solutions based on Stage 3 design information. You will work closely with their internal electrical and CAD teams to produce fully co-ordinated designs ready for construction.

You will be responsible for the mechanical design of building services for residential and mixed-use developments from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for M&E projects, typically valued between £500k and £20m+ * Analyse tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to build accurate cost models * Collaborate with internal design, pre-construction, and operational teams to evaluate solutions * Source accurate costs from suppliers and subcontractors through clear, timely communication * Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners * Assist with design

This well-established company offer complete design and manufacturing solutions to fabricated products within the commercial sector. They are looking to expand their design department to keep up with growth ambitions. In this role you will work with Inventor and Solidworks to design prototypes and produce drawings for manufacture. You will work on designs for fabrication and joinery. Once trained there is the option to work on a hybrid basis.
