Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Fulham | Site Based

Must have experience of working with a Main Contractor. Interviews will be taking place week commencing 27/06/2022.

Role Overview:
* In this role, you will assist the H&S Lead in implementing all Health & Safety procedures.
* You will carry out audits of sites, work equipment and tasks to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy.
* You will also prepare reports, making recommendations for actions and highlight areas for improvement.
* You will ensure that all team members are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities and provide advice for them when required.
* You will also mentor and coach the team on all H&S issues.
* You will deliver induction training, daily activity briefings and toolbox talks where required.
* You will also assist in the implementation and promotion of Health, Safety & Well-Being campaigns.

Key Job Responsibilities:
* Carry out site H&S inspections & audits. Recording such on ProCore and Yellow Jacket. Achieving reporting by set deadlines.
* Compose and keep up to date the construction phase plan, Fire Plan, Risk Register and all related H&S documents and records.
* Assist Project team in the identification of potential hazards, with the planning for them and implementation of any necessary control measures.
* Share expert knowledge and experience with Contractors and Project Team. Such as assisting the Temporary Works Coordinator and Supervisors with their duties.
* Carry out on-site H&S documentation and records, ensuring they are kept up to date. Also, to ensue that necessary tags/signs are fitted to scaffolding, Temporary Works and items of Plant, as necessary.
* Ensure H&S inductions are fully and successfully undertaken by all workers and visitors.
* Assist Site Managers with daily Golden Hour inspections. Keeping accurate records of such. Also, to accompany internal & external Senior Managers / Enforcement Authorities during site tours/inspections. Acting on any concerns and issues.
* Hold Daily Activity Briefings
* Timely accident and incident notification and investigations. With SMART objectives set following such.
* Issue Contractors with Plant Register and Toolbox Talk on Monday and retrieve completed records on Friday.
* Give any necessary toolbox talks, resulting from any site issues, accidents or when instructed by H&S or Project Managers etc.
* Plan and run H&S events as directed by H&S Manager or Project team.
* Keep a Risk Assessment Register and ensure ours and our Contractors RAMS are sufficient for the works to commence and updated as per best practice.
* Attend all H&S meetings. Acting as liaison between Company and Client.
* Actively promote the Occupational Wellbeing Plan, Safety Champion and Observation Reward Schemes.
* Assist and manage any Physical Distancing Marshals in their delivering their duties and ensure Covid19 Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
* Maintain standards and set positive example to workforce and visitors.
* Assist to improve and develop H&S system

Essential Criteria:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role.
* Technician membership of IOSH or similar is required.
* Recent proven experience of working in a health and safety role at a similar level and bringing about culture change within an organisation.
* Experience in training, coaching and mentoring to develop health and safety knowledge and expertise.

* A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of health, safety and risk management.
* A comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation, management and standards.
* Ability to interpret and provide authoritative advice on health and safety and risk management issues.
* Knowledge of workplace well-being initiatives and how they add value to an organisation.
* Experience in completing health and safety management audits against ISO 45001 and implementing action plans to meet audit findings.
