1st Step Solutions are looking for HV Fitter to work with our client, a specialist M&E contractor on a temp to perm position based in Slough, Reading, Oxford, Melksham, Southampton and Portsmouth, East Anglia & Essex

Salary: £Competitive + car/car allowance
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours | Flexible Working options available
What is the Role? We are looking to recruit several HV Fitters across the locations of Slough, Reading, Oxford, Melksham, Southampton, Portsmouth, East Anglia, and Essex.
You will be carrying out HV installations, maintenance in a safe, efficient, and economic manner. This will include setting out from drawings and specifications to establish the requirements of a project and ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
Working on our existing client contracts, you will be able to demonstrate competency in various types of industrial and DNO installations.
You will also be provided with the required training to carry out HV installations and will thrive in a team environment, whilst also be able to work independently.
What Do I Need? To be successful, you will possess appropriate electrical qualifications and CSCS/ECA grading/accreditation or equivalent. In addition, you will also have achieved City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent to an electrician. You will have previous experience working on Distribution Primary Schemes and a sound knowledge of 11kV to 33kV plant and equipment used for Power Distribution networks. DNO authorizations for Substation entry onto 132kV and Receive PTW would be preferred but training can be provided.
Previous HV experience is desirable but not essential, but a full UK driving license is required for this role, as well as a passion for safety and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
