Our client is a growing M&E Contractor based in South Yorkshire with project coverage across Yorkshire and the Midlands. Working from the Head Office and Field based.

They are looking to appoint a Junior Electrical Project Manager to support all commercial functions as the business grows. The position will be working closely with Project Managers and the Company Directors, reporting directly to the Retail Operations Manager. There will be opportunity for you to progress within the company and develop your own skills and knowledge.

Job Role:
* As a Junior Project Manager you will be required to work under the guidance and direction of Senior Project Managers and/or the Operations Manager.
* You will be undertaking site surveys and scoping small works projects.
* Developing designs for small works projects as well as producing a quote for the works for the customer.
* Developing work programmes, ordering materials and plant, organising resource, and managing small works projects from inception through to completion.
* Managing and keeping control of costs on projects.
* Ensuring that all testing and commissioning is completed and that all necessary test sheets and any other O&M information is completed to a satisfactory standard.
* Invoicing small works projects on full completion of the job.
* Providing management and direction to supervisors and a team of engineers/specialist sub-contractors on small works projects.
* There may be some "out of hours" work being attendance to site and managing projects, being available to support when you know these are on site.
* The role also requires you assist where necessary to ensure that all activities are in line with Company Health and Safety, Quality Business Management System procedures.

* Ensure all the team, operatives and specialist sub-contractors are maintaining a high level of Health and Safety.
* Minimise exposure and risk across projects.
* Pursue excellence in all aspects of business.
* Manage project scope and implementation.
* Undertake Site surveys using Site Audit Pro or similar formats to produce reports and attend meetings with clients on behalf of the company.
* Producing job specific RAM's.
* Cost control on projects by way of bringing them in on budget, in line with the project programme and at predetermined profit margins.
* Ensure all electrical test results are checked and that they fully comply with the IET Wiring Regulations.
* Ensuring supervisors, operatives and Sub-contractors are complaint from a technical perspective from commencement to completion of works, providing support to them as is reasonably required, assisting with the day to day running of the team, creating and hitting daily objectives.
* Develop relevant personal skills and capability through planning and attending training course, subject to Business approval.
* Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the company.
* Develop and maintain systems to established standards relating to all operational activities.
* Engage and manage subcontract resource.
* Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.
* Cross reference scope of works and bill of materials/standard quote templates with original scope of works and quotation and escalate any variances.
* Work closely with customer representatives to ensure project is delivering agreed outputs.
* Time management.
* Become familiar with Client Portals, ensure distribution of information therein to supervisors and operatives as applicable.

* Previous supervisory experience, with experience of running small projects.
* Multi Skilled - Electrical Bias, knowledge of Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting would be advantageous.
* Report writing skills.
* Problem solving and decision making.
* PC Literate with Microsoft office software packages.
* Apprentice Trained/NVQ 3 minimum.
* Up to date with current regulations, including 18th Edition.
* Up to date CSCS/JIB card
* Qualified in the following would be advantageous but not necessary:
Experience of working within the retail and fit out sector
IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671:2018 (Electrical Regulations)
Electrical Inspection and Testing C&G 2391-52 or equivalent.
Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Systems C&G 2396 or equivalent.
BS 5266 Emergency Lighting
BS 5839 Fire Alarms
Access control systems.
Design Package familiarity with ability to undertake for small works e.g. single circuit cable calculation.
AutocadLT or similar with ability to undertake for small works e,g, drawing amends, input for very small works.
