Our client is a growing M&E Contractor based in South Yorkshire with project coverage across Yorkshire and the Midlands. They are looking to appoint a Data & IT Services Programme Manager, reporting directly to the Data & IT Services Director.
To control the overall management of a team in the delivery of a revenue stream consisting of multi-disciplined projects and support functions within the department, inclusive of the Health and Safety, Technical, Commercial and Managerial requirements, from bid, pre-commencement to practical completion. Ensuring that profitability is maintained or improved through effective leadership. In addition, the Programme Manager will create a fit for purpose working environment, career development plans and an open and honest communication policy. Key to this role is the high-level relationship management with our clients and our teams.
Demonstrate appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout any activities carried out.
Ensure adherence to all Company policies, processes and procedures.
Ensure under direction, all works comply with Company standards and to meet and exceed client expectations, as well as the requirements to meet/exceed international standards and manufacturers installation guideline systems.
To provide leadership for the managers team and to maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within. To lead by example and actively promote the company values at all times.
To manage the bid activity with our estimators and the Business Development Team and to manage the bid process from start to finish to successfully win projects at the agreed margins.
Upon request, to aid with input in the preparation of the business plans and budgets. Based on the initial contract parameters and objectives, they should be actively seeking opportunities and innovations to suggest actions which maximises profit on the project.
To be responsible for the continual accurate reporting of the Project Status. To create and maintain the project P&L and highlight all risks and opportunities at the earliest possible opportunity.
To pro-actively manage all related activities to the successful completion of the projects in line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints. To be accountable for the Project Delivery Team.
Ensure that positive relationships are maintained with the customer through efficient delivery of projects with a view to optimising future opportunities and profitability.
Ensuring design and installation meets both internal and client specifications and statutory requirements. Ensure the team are up to date with accreditations and have all the competencies required to deliver the project. Identify any areas where training may be required.
Able to demonstrate successful delivery and management of Customer Service contracts
Sound Technical knowledge from within the Structured Cabling Industry
ITiL and best working practices or Equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Excellent ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Commercial and Contracting knowledge of procedures and processes including NEC3 and JCT contracts
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent understanding of a Service Delivery Management and Services Lifecycle methodologies
Proven line Management and experienced in managing virtual or distant delivery teams
Strong Financial understanding of Profit and Loss Accounting
Minimum GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
Full Driving Licence.
UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness.
CSCS (or ECS) Card for Managers.
Project Management Certification preferably APM, Prince 2 or CTPM.
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS or equivalent.
