Job Description
1st Step is now working with one of the largest Construction Management Companies in the NYC area. They provides construction management services for both public and private sector clients on a broad variety of projects. Our core project expertise includes schools, hospitals, transit facilities, airports, parking structures, sports, commercial and industrial facilities. Their expertise is coupled with a thorough understanding of the means and methods by which infrastructure is delivered and the relevant construction processes. Knowledge is the key to protecting the interests of their clients, and their track record of success speaks for itself.


There they typically break a project down into four phases: programming, design, bidding and construction.


Responsibilities may include overseeing elements of the design and construction processes. Part of this preparation includes developing, organizing and reviewing building plans, as well as preparing construction contracts for contractors. Ensure that construction projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning and aesthetic standards. Monitor progress during construction and ascertain whether phases of the construction process follow building plans and project deadlines.Works with the client and contractors to develop plans, set schedules and time lines, and complete projects according to time and budget expectations. Must have excellent time management, problem-solving, and personnel management skills to successfully balance client needs, contractor schedules, and construction regulations to successfully execute building projects.
