About the Role

1st Step Solutions are supporting a M&E Contractor who have an opportunity for a M&E Supervisor to join their London team.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced M&E Supervisor to oversee the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical works across our projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical packages and have a proven ability to manage subcontractors, and coordinate works to meet tight programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the execution of M&E works on site, ensuring alignment with project programmes and deadlines.
* Provide clear leadership and direction to subcontractors, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Monitor progress against programme, highlighting risks and driving timely resolutions to maintain schedule integrity.
* Ensure all works are completed in line with company quality standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
* Adopt a methodical approach to planning, task execution, and issue resolution, with a focus on maintaining high standards across all deliverables.
* Liaise closely with the wider project team, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented working environment.
* Assist with inspections, snagging, and commissioning processes to support project completion and handover.

Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience managing M&E packages in a construction environment.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to meet programme milestones.
* Solid understanding of quality processes, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
* Methodical, well-organised, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
* Experience in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
