Road Safety Week is an annual campaign that gives us all a vital opportunity to pause and reflect on how we use our roads. This year's theme, Safe Vehicles Save Lives, resonates deeply with me, touching upon lessons learned, tragic losses, and the daily reality of driving on Britain's busiest routes.

November last year became a pivotal month for my family. My mum was diagnosed with Sepsis – a severe and life-threatening condition that arises when the body's response to an infection damages its own tissues and organs. It's a medical emergency, and acting fast is absolutely critical.

Mental well-being is something that touches all our lives, whether directly or indirectly.
