1st Step becomes a Lighthouse Club Company Supporter

1st Step Solutions are extremely proud to have recently become a company supporter of the Lighthouse Club, a charity run by the construction industry, for the construction industry. The Lighthouse Club offers support to those struggling with mental and physical health issues along with those struggling with financial challenges. A devastating statistic we learnt is the construction industry loses two people a day to suicide and we wanted to show our support for the fantastic work the Lighthouse Club are doing to try and offer as much backing to them as possible.

Macmillan Mighty Hike 2022

On Friday 13th May 2022, Hayley and Davinia excitedly set off up to Norfolk to take part in the first Mighty Hike from Cromer to Blakeney. Little did they know what was ahead of them the following day!! The day didn’t start well with them nearly missing their train as they were trying to board a steam train, meaning it was time for a quick warm-up sprint to the correct train to arrive on time. Upon arrival, along with 1,998 others, they set off on their way. This is the first event to be held in Norfolk and is due to raise a staggering £1.1 million for Macmillan Cancer Support.
